Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Jackson, Tennessee to join our pharmacy team. You will provide exemplary customer service, counsel patients and prescribers, verify and dispense RX orders, and ensure accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations.

You will maintain safety standards, manage inventory, process insurance information, and administer immunizations where trained. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought, with no stipulations or Board ordered restrictions.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Assist customers by answering questions regarding products and services.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and prescribers.
• Receive and process RX orders in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Interpret, fill, label and bag prescription orders accurately.
• Ensure patient safety and appropriate prescription decisions.
• Maintain records including insurance and RX information; assist with OTC recommendations.
• Utilize RX computer systems accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee inventory and control substances in compliance with regulations.
• Promote immunizations to patients and administer where trained.

Education

Pharmacist license in state of employment

Graduate of US School of Pharmacy or foreign equivalency
