The Pharmacy Program Manager is responsible for developing and managing technology-based solutions and informatics to promote safe, effective, and optimal use of medications within the New York Harbor VA Medical Center. The incumbent applies a combination of pharmacist and informatics skills to plan, implement, and manage pharmacy service automated data processing (ADP) applications.
The role includes managing software for prescription dispensing, ward stock, IV admixture, narcotic dispensing, and other pharmacy operations. Responsibilities also involve data accuracy, reporting, liaising with IT, process improvement, staff training, and developing cost-effective medication therapies.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Not available for telework or virtual work.
Must have a pharmacy degree from an accredited institution, a valid license, and meet experience requirements for the GS-13 level, including managing pharmacy programs and staff.
Position involves sedentary work with some walking and standing. Education must be from recognized institutions. Benefits include comprehensive federal employment perks. The role is full-time, mid-senior level, in hospital/healthcare industry.
