Job summary

Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Pharmacist, NonExempt, to join our team and help ensure safe and effective medication use in a 294-bed community hospital in Wilson, North Carolina.

You will collaborate with clinicians to optimize pharmacotherapy, review orders, educate staff and patients, document interventions, and support quality improvement initiatives within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve potential drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients and students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy prior to entry.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
