Job summary

OhioHealth in Dublin, OH seeks an ED-focused pharmacist to support acute and inpatient operations. You will dispense, counsel, monitor drug therapy, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team during evening shifts.

You will precept students and residents, participate in performance improvement and emergency responses, and help ensure safe, cost-effective medication use across care settings.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree (BS or PharmD) and active Ohio license.
• Residency experience in emergency department is preferred.
• BLS certification current or obtained during orientation.
• ACLS may be required to obtain per manager's determination.
• Pharmacotherapy knowledge and critical care principles.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and compound medications following standards and ensure proper labeling.

The position will work 7 shifts in a row followed by 7 shifts off on evening shift. Dublin Methodist was recently designated as a level 3 Trauma Center, and this new position will help support this growth and future expansion efforts. In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, pharmacists will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, attend emergency responses (e.g. code blue, rapid response, STEMI, stroke alert, etc.), evaluate ED cultures on discharged patients, provide oversight of medication reconciliation, precept students, serve as an educational resource, and participate in hospital committees relevant to practice area.
