In this role, you will do more than just dispense medication—you will lead by example, ensure operational excellence, and serve as a vital resource for both patients and healthcare providers.
Clinical Excellence: Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescriptions while maintaining strict attention to detail in a fast-paced environment (such as long-term care or hospital units).
Regulatory Oversight: Guarantee absolute compliance with all state, federal, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and coach pharmacy technicians and support staff to foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
Patient & Provider Relations: Counsel patients on therapies and immunizations, communicate efficiently with physicians and vendors, and deliver top-tier customer service.
Operational Management: Oversee inventory, manage controlled substances, handle medication storage/returns, and maintain meticulous documentation.
Clinical Support: Administer immunizations following current CDC guidelines and actively support the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with special projects and staff training.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist licenses in both Texas (TX) and California (CA).
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Savvy: Proficient with modern pharmacy management systems and prescription processing software.
Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of pharmacy operations, inventory management, and strict HIPAA privacy standards.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods andlift up to 25 lbs.
Experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
Background in sterile compounding.
Active IV Certification.
