Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY
- Provides safe, effective and efficient drug distribution, monitors patient's response to drug therapy, and provides reliable and relevant drug information to patients and health care professionals.
- Involved in business aspects to maintain a profitable company.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.
B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING
- Infrequent: Push and Pull between 21-35 lbs.
- Occasional: Lift floor to waist between 21-35 lbs.

C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING
- Infrequent: N/A
- Occasional: Sit. Squat.
- Frequent: Twist.
- Constant: Stand. Walk. Stoop/Bend. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subjected to noise/vibration from air conditioner, printers, time stamp machines, etc.
- Exposure to chemo drugs and antibiotics and chemicals; dust, odors and cleaning/ disinfectant fumes.
- Work environment is fast paced, congested and may be stressful due to workload.
- Interacts with patients, nurses, physicians and the general public.
- Works on multiple tasks at the same time.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION
- Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Current Hawaii State license as a Pharmacist.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
C. EXPERIENCE
Experience to demonstrate the following:
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and supporting/facilitating positive team interaction/development.
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
- Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to act calmly and tactfully in stressful or confrontational situations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
