Job summary

Omnicare, now operating as an independent unit after the CVS Health sale, seeks a licensed Pharmacist in Georgia to support long-term care facilities. You will perform clinical reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive program adoption across facilities in the Macon area.

Responsibilities include conducting MRRs, producing reports, and educating facility staff on new programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet site goals.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy license in Georgia in good standing

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities remain compliant with federal regulations
• Complete clinical reviews as required by federal/state regulation
• Own issue resolution and communicate early warning signs of potential issues
• Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings
• Promote growth using existing customer relationships and new business
• Conduct Executive Reviews and other customer meetings as required
• Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Operations, and corporate functions to meet site goals
• Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and provide written reports to staff
• Spend appropriate time on each resident's review per clinical needs
• Use OSC2OR software on-site to generate MRR and document responses to recommendations
• Utilize MDS 3.0 health assessment tool to identify residents needing targeted focuses
• Complete the Consultant Pharmacist Summary Report and the Monthly Summary after consulting
• Educate facility staff when new programs are implemented and perform required functions

Position Summary

Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a full‑time salaried position offering 40 hours per week during normal daytime business hours. Occasional weekend or overnight travel may be required based on the needs of the business. Candidate should reside in the Macon, GA area.

You will

• Ensure facilities remain compliant and aligned with federal regulations
• Complete clinical reviews as required by federal and state regulation
• Own issue resolution and communicate early warning signs of potential issues
• Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings
• Use existing customer relationships to promote and drive organic growth as well as new business
• Conduct Executive Reviews and other customer meetings as required
• Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Operations, and appropriate corporate functions to meet overall site goals and objectives
• Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) as outlined by regulation or contract for facility type and provide written reports of these reviews to applicable facility staff
• Spend an appropriate amount of time on each resident's review as defined by their clinical needs
• Use OSC2OR software on-site to generate MRR, including therapeutic interchange and Omnicare clinical program-related recommendations and document responses to previous recommendations
• Utilize the "Minimum Data Set" (MDS 3.0) health assessment tool to identify specific residents needing targeted focuses
• Complete the "Quality Improvement: Consultant Pharmacist Summary Report" for all applicable facilities and transmit this and the "Summary for Consultant Services" after each month of consulting has been completed
• Educate facility staff including the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and Administrator when new programs are implemented and perform specific functions required of new programs to be conducted by Consultant Pharmacist

Required Qualifications

• Candidate should reside in Macon, Georgia or a surrounding area
• Active Pharmacy license in good standing in Georgia

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy license in good standing in Florida
• 3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy practice
• 1 year of long-term care pharmacy practice
• Immunization certified or willingness to become immunization certified
• Certification in geriatrics and/or gerontology preferred

Education

B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
