Job summary

MedPro Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract assignment with a top healthcare client in Memphis, TN. The role requires a pharmacy degree from an accredited college and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the relevant state.

Preference given to candidates with 2 years hospital experience. Excellent benefits and travel-related perks are included as part of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality pharmaceutical care to hospital patients in compliance with laws, accreditation and standards.
• Involve with drug distribution functions including order entry, verification, and IV admixture as applicable.
• Engage in defined clinical activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives, communicating with physicians and nurses as needed.

Duties Responsibilities

• To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of hospital, in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.


• Involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or prospective review and verification of physicians' orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.)


• Defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives (which include active communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff about the need to clarify and/or change an order along with documentation of intervention outcomes).
