Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract position to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include drug distribution, order entry, IV admixture, and interprofessional collaboration with physicians and nurses. Licensure in the appropriate state or eligibility via examination/reciprocity is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Preferred 2 years of hospital experience.
• Licensed pharmacist or eligible for licensure via examination or reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provision of high quality pharmaceutical care to hospital patients in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Involvement with drug distribution functions including order entry and IV admixture preparation.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to clarify or adjust orders and document intervention outcomes.

Duties Responsibilities

• To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of hospital, in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.


• Involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or prospective review and verification of physicians' orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.)


• Defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives (which include active communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff about the need to clarify and/or change an order along with documentation of intervention outcomes).
