Mental Health Cooperative is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support daily operations, verify prescriptions, counsel consumers, and collaborate with care teams within a closed-door pharmacy integrated into behavioral health services.

The role emphasizes medication access, provider coordination, and compliance in a non-traditional setting dedicated to vulnerable populations and community-based care.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent degree required.
• Active Tennessee pharmacist license or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing.
• Ability to work effectively with pharmacy technicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong professional communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to compliance and consumer-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions accurately and in accordance with law and policy.
• Support daily dispensing operations and technician workflow.
• Provide consumer counseling and medication-related assistance as appropriate.
• Assist with refill coordination, prior authorizations, and communications with providers.
• Support long-acting injectable and MAT dispensing and related operations.
• Contribute to inventory management, audits, and compliance readiness.
