Qualifications

• Maintain current Nebraska pharmacist licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
• Prepare and dispense all medications, overseeing non-pharmacist personnel.
• Ensure prescriptions and orders comply with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain relationships with medical staff and provide information on drugs and regulatory standards.
• Conduct medication use reviews and suggest modifications for optimal therapy.
• Instruct patients on proper drug use and perform patient rounds with physicians.
• Maintain secure storage of medicinal products per regulations.
• Respond to medication-related inquiries and stay updated on drug knowledge.
• Write guidelines and bulletins for drug use and assist with policy implementation.
• Provide information on budgets and drug expenditures; process payments.
• Attend meetings and participate in facility and community committees.
• Mentor healthcare professionals in training; provide monthly consulting to facilities.
• Perform other duties as needed and comply with the compliance program.
