Clinical Review Pharmacist

Job Description

This role involves utilizing clinical skills to perform utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions. You will be working independently but as part of a team of pharmacy professionals. Quality and performance are evaluated based on monthly goals. While all new pharmacists start on a contract basis, there is potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly quality and productivity goals.

  • Participate in team efforts with other pharmacy professionals.

  • Complete training for specialized cases if opportunities arise.

  • Cross-train in other departments such as Medication Therapy Management (MTM) or Call Center Counseling (CCC) if available.

    Essential Skills

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Two years of experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
