Job summary

Actalent, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join the team. You will review prescriptions, conduct medication assessments, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, acting as a pharmacy leader on call when needed.

The role requires a pharmacy degree, state license, and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

• Review and approve prescriptions filled by pharmacy technicians according to State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Conduct medication assessments with patient medical information on all prescriptions.
• Perform final checks of filled prescriptions to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies regarding controlled substances and legend drugs.
• Implement quality and cost containment strategies on dispensing and procurement activities.
• Respond to drug-related questions and concerns initiated by internal and external customers.
• Assess laboratory data and therapeutic drug ranges.
• Collaborate with pharmacy management on special projects and initiatives.
• Complete competency verification plan upon hire and annually to ensure familiarity with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with on-call responsibilities as needed, acting as the pharmacy leader in the absence of the Pharmacist in Charge.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and patient/client care in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Job description

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in pharmacy, home infusion, hospital, or clinical monitoring settings.
• Experience with compounding and healthcare.

Shift: 8:30-5 M-F, Rotating on call every 3 weeks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
