Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Pharmacist to join our team serving military members and families at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, WA. This is a full-time position with a schedule rotating 6 am–8 pm, Sunday through Saturday, including Federal holidays.

You will perform a full range of pharmacist duties, counsel patients, review prescriptions for safety, supervise inventory and ensure controlled substance security, in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited program.
• One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license.
• Placement at Naval Hospital Bremerton - Pharmacy (outpatient).

Responsibilities

• Perform full pharmacist duties and deliver pharmaceutical services.
• Counsel patients on medication use and monitor therapy.
• Review prescriptions for dosing, interactions, allergies, and duplications.
• Supervise inventory and ensure security of controlled substances.
• Maintain records per regulations.

Employment Status: Full TimeCompensation:

$74.61-$78.54 /hourSchedule: Sunday through Saturday, including the day of observance of Federal holidays between the hours of 6 am - 8 pm.

Requirements

The Pharmacist must have and meet the following:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the AccreditationCouncil on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
• Place of Performance: Naval Hospital Bremerton - Pharmacy.
• This facility while listed as a Hospital is strictly out patient services.
• There are no inpatient services.
• Patient Population: Active Duty Military and their dependents.

Actual Schedule

Currently the Schedule typically is between the hours of 6 am - 8 pm. Sun - Sat.

Job Summary

Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures. Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities. Counsel patients regarding the appropriate use of medications. Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing to monitor medication therapy closely. Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age-specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancies of the above-listed items. Compound medications as required. Ensure the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff. Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
