Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our outpatient pharmacy team at Naval Hospital Bremerton, WA. This full-time position serves active duty military families, with duties spanning the full range of pharmacist procedures, patient counseling, and medication review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited program.
• One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities.
• Counsel patients regarding the appropriate use of medications.
• Review patient profiles at dispensing to monitor medication therapy closely.
• Ensure prescription directions, dose, interactions, and allergies are correct; intervene with providers for discrepancies.
• Compound medications as required.
• Ensure the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals and maintain appropriate records and security.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: $74.61-$78.54 /hour
• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, including the day of observance of Federal holidays between the hours of 6 am - 8 pm.

Requirements: The Pharmacistmust have and meet the following:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation
  Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.

Place of Performance: Naval Hospital Bremerton - Pharmacy

• This facility while listed as a Hospital is strictly out patient services.
• There are no inpatient services.

Patient Population: Active Duty Military and their dependents.

Actual Schedule: Currently the Schedule typically is between the hours of 6 am - 8 pm. Sun - Sat.

Job Summary:

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities.
• Counsel patients regarding the appropriate use of medications.
• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing to monitor medication therapy closely.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age-specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancies of the above-listed items.
• Compound medications as required.
• Ensure the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
