Job summary

CHAS Health in Washington is seeking a registered pharmacist (Rph/PharmD) to join our community-focused care team. You will review prescriptions, counsel patients, and work under Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreements to ensure safe, effective medication use.

Qualifications

• Rph or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
• Current licensure in Washington and/or Idaho is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; CPR/AED and computer skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions and dispense medications.
• Counsel patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Review and authorize prescriptions under state-approved Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreements.
• Assist patients with insurance/patient assistance options.
• Collaborate with care team to discuss specific disease states.
• Maintain QA procedures and HIPAA compliance; supervise staff.

Compensation Range

$107,300.00 - $162,301.00

Job Description

Purpose of Job:

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing pharmaceutical care in the following ways:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions and prepares medications for dispensing.
• Counsels’ patients on medication drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Reviews and authorizes prescriptions with delegated prescriptive authority under state approved Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreements.
• Aids in helping patients obtain insurance/patient assistance options.
• Acts as a part of the care team providing consultation for specific disease states.
• Maintains established procedures of quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and HIPAA.
• Directs pharmacy technicians, assistants, and interns.
• Accesses computer for data entry, pharmacy files, patient charts, and inventory.
• Utilizes innovative technology with electronic health records and Parata.
• Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Rph or PharmD from accredited school of pharmacy. Current valid licensure in the state of Washington and/or Idaho required. Prior non-profit experience preferred.

Skills: Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Computer skills required. BLS (CPR/AED) required. Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.

Physical Demands

Pharmacists must be able to move around the facility between 1/3rd and 2/3rds of the day, while sitting at a workstation occurs under 1/3rd of the day. Using hands and reaching with arms occurs over 2/3rds of the day. Communicating is also required over 2/3rds of the day, while climbing, stooping or crawling is minimal. Lifting up to 10 lbs occurs occasionally, while 25-50 lbs occurs infrequently.
