About UNC Chatham Hospital

UNC Chatham Hospital operates under a unique critical access hospital model and is not a 24-hour pharmacy operation. Pharmacy services are provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The pharmacist in this role will be expected to work within this model while providing both direct clinical services and essential operational pharmacy support.

The Clinical Pharmacist will serve as a day-to-day clinical resource for the hospital, including participation in patient care activities, medication therapy review, patient profile review, interdisciplinary rounding, and response to emergent clinical situations. The position will also support pharmacy operations, including oversight and verification of technician-prepared compounded products and batches and other activities necessary to maintain safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
