Job summary

Quality Life Services is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our compassionate team serving older adults. You will oversee prescription processing, supervise technicians, verify completed work, and ensure timely delivery to facilities.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed and in good standing.
• Ability to supervise technicians and pharmacy staff.
• Experience with ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and drug interaction checks.

Responsibilities

• Determines prescription assignment for dosage, drug choice, administration, and possible reactions/interactions.
• Supervises technicians in prescription data entry, packing/compounding, and label preparation.
• Verifies finished work of non-pharmacist staff.
• Directs timely delivery of medications and supplies to facilities.
• Answers drug-related questions and assists with problem solving for staff and patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determinesprescriptionassignment fordosage , drugchoice , administration,and possible reactions / interactions
• Supervisestechnicians inprescriptiondataentry,packingandcompounding medications, label and card preparation and assists when necessary.
• Verifiesfinishedworkofallemployees whoarenot pharmacists.
• Directstimelydeliveryofmedicationsandsuppliestothe facilities.
• Answersdrugrelatedquestionsandconcernsandassistswithproblemsolvingfor personnel , nursing staff , and patient families in area of expertise.
• MayassistPharmacyDirectorwithspecial projectsasneededandassumes responsibility in his/her absence.
• Rotateson-calldutyduringoff hours.
• Compoundsprescriptionsas needed.
• Assistsbusine s sofficewithbillingproblems .
• Mayconsult nursingfacilitiesaccordingtostateandfederal regulations when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting,Standing, fine motorskills,visual acuity.Ableto lift up to 30 pounds .
