About the Role:
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, and compliant management of medication therapy within a hematology-oncology physician office and outpatient infusion center. This position provides clinical pharmacy oversight of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, supportive medications, and other high-risk medications administered within the practice.
The Pharmacist works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative personnel to ensure that oncology treatment regimens are clinically appropriate, accurately prescribed, safely prepared, properly administered, and appropriately monitored.
The Pharmacist will provide oversight of the infusion center's medication-use processes, including regimen review, treatment plan verification, medication preparation and dispensing, inventory management, staff education, medication safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
