Overview
Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Job Summary: Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
- Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
- Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
- Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
- Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
- Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
- Ensures all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
- Maintains awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel
- Works on-call schedule, where applicable
- Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel
- Performs MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations
- Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
- Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
- Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education
Qualifications
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
Job Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
- Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift

Compensation
$81,931.20 - $123,496.06 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
