Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will oversee daily activities of pharmacy technicians, interpret medication orders, and ensure safe, effective medication use for patients across age groups.

The role requires a pharmacy degree, Indiana license eligibility, and hospital experience. You will perform IV preparation, manage medication inventories, participate in CLIA-compliant lab testing, and collaborate with drug

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Pharmacy degree from an accredited university, as required by law
  • Minimum: Pharmacy Graduate of an accredited university
  • Preferred: One (1) year of hospital pharmacist experience
  • Pharmacist license eligible to practice in the state of Indiana

Responsibilities

  • Direct and check the daily activities of pharmacy technicians.
  • Interpret medication orders based on patient's age and clinical status.
  • Use relevant resources and references for checking appropriateness of medication order, based on patient's age and clinical status as needed.
  • Perform calculations for special dilutions or formulations and prepare these medications as needed.
  • Implement activities necessary for attainment of pharmacy objectives.
  • Prepare intravenous solutions using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in procuring, maintaining, and storing an adequate inventory of medications.
  • Perform clinical dosing programs established by the pharmacy.
  • Actively participate in daily huddle passing information to other staff members.
  • Accurately maintain required state and federal records for controlled substances and fill floor stock requests for controlled substances.
  • Meet with drug company representatives to obtain information about products.
  • Perform lab testing according to CLIA'88 regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements
