Job summary

VytlOne in Lutcher, LA is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for its Parish Pharmacy location. The role supports the Pharmacy Manager as needed and focuses on outpatient care within a patient-centered transition model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff per policy and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions issued by physician or other prescriber to ensure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients.
• Answers questions and provides information to customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintains procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost to maintain files, charge system, and inventory.

Overview

VtylOne is currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacist for our Parish Pharmacy location in Lutcher, LA. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model. The PRN Pharmacist will provide coverage for our Pharmacy Manager on a as needed basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Retail pharmacy experience perferred.
• Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisiana.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
