Job summary

Orison-Solutions-LLC in Oregon seeks a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will perform medication therapy management, patient assessments, and collaborate with physicians and nurses in ICU, PICU, and trauma settings. Emphasis on safe IV therapy, EMR documentation, and regulatory compliance.

You will precept residents and students, monitor for adverse reactions, and support optimization of pharmacotherapy across acute care services.

Qualifications

Job description

• Provide comprehensive medication therapy management and patient assessments in critical care settings such as ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Level I & II trauma centers.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on pharmacology principles and physiology knowledge.


• Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to drug regulation standards and hospital policies related to pharmacy practice.


• Prepare and dispense medications accurately through IV infusion compounding, aseptic technique, and medication administration protocols.


• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, medication reconciliation, and clinical decision support.


• Precept pharmacy residents and students while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.


• Monitor for adverse drug reactions, manage acute pain cases, and optimize medication use in emergency room and trauma settings.


• Maintain expertise in pharmacy information systems (PIS) and hospital pharmacy operations to streamline workflows efficiently.


• Conduct patient service activities including medication counseling, education on pharmacotherapeutics, and assessment of patient care needs.


• Stay current with pharmaceutical regulatory updates, drug regulation changes, and advances in pharmacology to ensure best practices are followed.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required upon submission.
