Job summary

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for a behavioral health hospital in Hopkinsville, KY. The assigned pharmacist will cover and support the Director of Pharmacy during scheduled time off, with Kentucky licensure and inpatient/behavioral health experience preferred.

Equity is hiring for a PRN Pharmacist – Behavioral Health in Hopkinsville, KY!

We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide coverage and support the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) during scheduled time off. This is a great opportunity for a Kentucky-licensed pharmacist looking for flexible PRN work in a behavioral health hospital setting.

• Location: Hopkinsville, KY
• Average Daily Census: Approximately 50
• Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Experience Preferred: Inpatient and/or Behavioral Health pharmacy experience
• Training: 1 day of training provided
• Dress Code: Business casual

• November 2
• November 27
• November 30
• December 29–31
• Additional dates may become available

Responsibilities

The PRN Pharmacist will primarily be responsible for:

• Verifying medication orders
• Verifying packaged medications
• Stocking and maintaining medications in the Omnicell system
• Supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Working closely with the DOP and Pharmacy Technician to ensure safe and accurate medication distribution
• Specialty: Behavioral Health – children and adults
• Order Entry System: HCS – training provided
• Automation: Omnicell – training provided
• Pharmacy Staff: 1 Director of Pharmacy + 1 Pharmacy Technician
• The Pharmacy Technician provides excellent support with medication packaging and Omnicell stocking, making this a fairly straightforward pharmacist coverage assignment.

Candidate Requirements

• Inpatient and/or behavioral health experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and accurately
• Strong medication verification and pharmacy operations skills
• Professional communication and attention to detail

Local candidates are preferred. Travel candidates may be considered; however, any travel expenses must be incorporated into an all-inclusive rate.
