Rx relief in Florida is seeking a dedicated Sterile Compounding Pharmacist near Starke to join a team focused on safety and quality. The role involves verifying orders, supervising technicians, and performing sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797/800.

The position offers an $85+ hourly pay rate, Monday through Friday schedule, and travel/relocation flexibility for the right candidate, with a broad benefits package including health, retirement, PTO and life insurance.

Qualificações

• Minimum one (1) year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding per USP standards (797/800) and state regulations.
• Experience working in sterile compounding environments; home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy principles, drug properties, interactions, and perpetual inventory systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Participate in quality assurance, safety audits, and regulatory documentation.

Key Responsibilities

General Pharmacy Duties

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders; review medication profiles for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with inventory management, controlled substances, and overall pharmacy operations.
• Support the development of pharmacy policies, procedures, staff training, and program monitoring methodologies.
• Participate in staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding (hazardous and non-hazardous) in strict compliance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
• Maintain cleanroom integrity, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring standards.
• Maintain complete compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Setting: Ability to work in a sterile compounding environment. Experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy settings is preferred.
• Core Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmacy principles, drug properties, interactions, and perpetual inventory systems.
• Communication & Detail: Excellent verbal/written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail for prolonged periods.
• Compliance: Strict adherence to regulatory requirements, Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, and safety protocols—including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, reach overhead, stoop, lift, stir, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Exert up to 40 lbs of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 lbs of force frequently to lift or move objects.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to manipulate syringes, vials, needles, IV bags, and compounding materials.
• Ability to consistently wear and properly maintain all required PPE.
