Job summary

Walgreens in DES MOINES IA is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join our retail team. You will provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting, educate patients on medications and costs, and deliver immunizations and medication therapy management.

A BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, current licensure in the district, and immunizer certification (or willingness within 90 days) are required. You will ensure safe dispensing, regulatory compliance, and mentor pharmacy staff.

External Basic Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
