Job summary

Walgreens in Des Peres, MO is seeking a pharmacist to provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy services, educate patients on medication usage, immunizations, and cost-effective options. Qualified candidates hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, current licensure in district states, and immunizer certification (or willingness within 90 days).

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of retail pharmacist experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations and medication therapy management.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
