Pay Range: $50.00 - $72.00

Summary

The Pharmacist ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies while preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and overseeing patient interactions. Additionally, they contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, maintain a clean work environment, and complete the necessary continuing education to uphold professional standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare and dispense prescription medications, including maintaining necessary records, accurate third‑party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.
• Provide counseling to patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Participate in patient‑centered services including immunization, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
• Supervise personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and hold them accountable for compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Provide guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates while monitoring performance.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation at all times.
• Complete required continuing education programs as mandated by state law.
• Achieve financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, and minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
• Immunization certification or agreement to complete certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to submit to driver‑licensing monitoring.
• At least 21 years of age.

Education And Experience

• 5‑year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.
• General knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Strong leadership and personnel‑management abilities.
• Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
