Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a licensed pharmacist to oversee hospital pharmacy operations and ensure safe medication use across units. Per diem employment offers flexible scheduling in a comprehensive acute care setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating pharmacy activities, supporting general medicine, ICU, obstetrics, pediatrics and emergency services, and upholding high standards of patient care and safety within a recognized top cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Hospital pharmacy operations experience preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the pharmacy department to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• Care scope includes General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.
• Ensure patient safety and effective medication use across units.
• Support clinical pharmacy initiatives and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.

Pay Transparency

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $75.58 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
