The Mainevets MVH Pharmacy team in Augusta, ME is seeking a motivated Pharmacist to support quality care and improve lives daily. This role combines clinical expertise with collaborative operations in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • PharmD or post-graduate degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Maine Pharmacist license (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Long-term care, institutional, or clinical pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure safe medication practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Identify and resolve medication-related concerns, interactions, or discrepancies.
  • Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and controlled substance accountability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Provide education and support to healthcare staff as needed.
