Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Maine is seeking a motivated Pharmacist to join MVH Pharmacy team in a patient-centered, collaborative environment. This role focuses on high-quality medication care and meaningful patient outcomes.

You will dispense medications, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, collaborate with providers and healthcare staff, and support pharmacy operations. A PharmD or equivalent, and an active Maine license are required; inpatient/long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• PharmD or post-graduate degree from an accredited program.
• Active Maine Pharmacist license (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Long-term care, institutional, or clinical pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure safe medication practices and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Identify and resolve medication-related concerns, interactions, or discrepancies.
• Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and controlled substance accountability.
• Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide education and support to healthcare staff as needed.
