Job summary

Catalent’s Greenville, NC site seeks a manufacturing operator to perform GMP operations in an OSD environment, including dispensing, compounding, compressing, encapsulating, coating and printing, with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing.
• Associate degree with at least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing.
• Required to obtain internal forklift operation certification.
• Position requires the ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs unassisted, and occasionally push and pull a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Majority of work day is performed while standing and walking.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals, respiratory irritants, skin irritants, moving machinery parts, damp environments.
• Must be able to wear a respirator; medical evaluation required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch records and logbook entries are documented and compliant with SOPs and FDA cGMP guidelines.

Position Summary

This position performs GMP manufacturing operations in an OSD environment, including dispensing, compounding, compressing, encapsulating, coating, and printing, with minimal supervision.

The Role

• With minimal oversight, assemble, disassemble, clean and store manufacturing equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery and equipment and recommend corrective or preventative measures
• Ensure all batch records and logbook entries are accurately documented and compliant with SOPs and FDA cGMP guidelines
• With minimal supervision, conduct setup, changeover, and manufacturing activities with adherence to SOPs and safety requirements
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing
• Associate degree with at least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing
• Required to obtain internal forklift operation certification
• Position requires the ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs unassisted, and occasionally push and pull a maximum of 50 lbs
• Majority of work day is performed while standing and walking
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremities
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals, other active chemical ingredients, respiratory irritants, skin irritants, moving machinery parts, damp, humid, wet and cramped environments
• This position requires that a respirator be worn for your safety, and as such, employment is contingent upon being able to complete a medical evaluation with satisfactory results. The medical evaluation is conducted via an external vendor assigned by Catalent.
