POSITION: Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist & Key Account Manager - (Ophthalmic)
Brill USA, a leading multinational pharmaceutical company specializing in ophthalmic solutions, is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist & Key Account Manager. This field-based position reports directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager and focuses on promoting our innovative ophthalmic medical devices throughout Pennsylvania (70%), with additional territory coverage in Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio (30%). Key Responsibilities
- Establish and expand our brand presence across assigned territories
- Generate demand and awareness among ophthalmologists and optometrists
Strategic Sales Execution
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
- Identify and segment potential customers for maximum market impact
- Successfully integrate our medical devices into healthcare protocols
- Conduct professional product demonstrations for healthcare providers
- Deliver comprehensive training on optimal device utilization
- Organize clinical sessions and facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge exchange
Key Account Management
- Build and maintain relationships with 100-120 customers across 40-50 accounts
- Cultivate strong partnerships with clinical decision-makers
- Drive growth within key accounts, including strategic payor relationships
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics
- Deliver structured weekly reporting to leadership
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events
- Manage territory budgets effectively
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize sales strategies
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in health sciences (pharmacy, biochemistry, biology) or technical training in optometry.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry
- Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex scientific information into compelling value propositions for diverse healthcare professionals
- Analytical Acumen: Strong capability to assess markets, develop sales strategies, and manage accounts for maximum growth
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders
- Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, target-driven environments with resilience under pressure
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and digital communication tools
- Valid driver's license required
- Willingness to travel within assigned territories (PA, MD, VA, OH)
