Job summary

Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring a Lab Assistant (Intern) for multiple departments on our San Diego, CA team. The Student Lab Intern program offers hands-on experience in analytical chemistry techniques such as volumetric analysis, spectroscopy, and liquid chromatography.

The role involves conducting solid-state material characterization, preparing reports, and gaining exposure to GMP and CMC guidance under supervision. This is an on-site internship in San Diego with mentorship and training.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Graduate program.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Pharmaceutical or Biological fields.
• At least one year of experience with basic formulation or laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical characterization activities of solid-state materials for downstream drug development.
• Leverage polymer science experience to conduct formulation development and drug product characterization under supervision.
• Prepare reports, summaries, protocols, batch records, and quantitative analyses.
• Maintain clear and accurate laboratory notebooks with proper record keeping.
• Engage in development of problem-solving skills under supervision; limited client interaction.
