Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join a laboratory team in the East London area. The role focuses on testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure safety and efficacy, with emphasis on GLP compliance and accurate record-keeping.

The successful candidate will perform routine QC tests, operate HPLC/GC equipment, and work both independently and as part of a team in a modern lab environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or related science field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory.
  • Proficiency with analytical instrumentation like HPLC and GC.
  • Understanding of GLP and pharmaceutical quality systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using established methods and instrumentation (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
  • Accurately record and document testing results, deviations, and observations in notebooks and LIMS.
  • Analyze test data, identify OOS results, and participate in investigations.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for testing.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in East London . This role is essential for ensuring the quality and consistency of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products through rigorous testing. You will perform a variety of analytical tests, interpret results, and maintain accurate records, contributing directly to the safety and efficacy of our client's products. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented analyst to advance their career in pharmaceutical quality control within East London .


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using established methods and instrumentation.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.

  • Accurately record and document all testing results, deviations, and observations in laboratory notebooks and LIMS.

  • Analyze test data, identify out-of-specification (OOS) results, and participate in investigations.

  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for testing.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and relevant SOPs.
