Job description

Sirius Staffing is seeking Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technicians in Birmingham, AL for 2nd shift, Mon–Fri. This role supports aseptic, terminal sterilized (cleanroom), and non-aseptic processes for pharmaceutical and polymer manufacturing across development, clinical, and commercial phases.

Rate: $25/hr + Benefits + PTO | Holiday Pay

Type: Full-time, long-term contract, with the possibility of direct hire.

Shifts: 2nd shift 3pm - 12am, with training on day shift initially (8am - 5pm).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology (preferred)
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
• Familiarity with GMP or cGMP environments
• Experience in machining or related fields is beneficial
• Strong mechanical reasoning and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in documentation, math, and computer skills
• Ability to perform aseptic techniques with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain production equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing (PLC-controlled machinery)
• Accurately perform development/engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records
• Use hand and specialty tools for equipment operation
• Assemble and disassemble processing equipment
• Identify opportunities for maintenance, calibration, and process improvements
• Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols, including PPE usage
