Catalent's Kansas City facility is seeking a Pharmaceutical Development Technician I to support the setup, manufacturing, and cleaning of equipment under the guidance of senior technicians. The role emphasizes adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and safety standards to deliver high-quality solutions for patients.

Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm; Location: Kansas City, MO; 100% onsite. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a regulated lab environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, with 0+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external customers, peers, and managers.
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk regularly and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, teardown, manufacturing, and cleaning of equipment and processes.
  • Follow cGMP, SOPs, and safety standards with accuracy and diligence.
  • Maintain proper PPE usage and report safety concerns.
  • Learn equipment and testing within the core group and maintain training on site procedures.
  • Support sampling and packaging of in-process and finished product material.
  • Maintain active inventory of excipients and API used for experimental processing.
  • Conduct daily tasks to keep work areas stocked with materials and supplies.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Development Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will perform setup, teardown, manufacturing, and cleaning of equipment and processes under the guidance of senior technicians. You will follow policies and procedures with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, including SOPs, cGMP, and safety standards. This position supports our mission to deliver high-quality solutions that help people live better, healthier lives.

Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm
Location: Kansas City, MO
100% Onsite

The Role
  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Follow all Catalent safety procedures and communicate necessary adjustments to address potential safety concerns
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Learn all equipment and testing within the core group while maintaining high quality standards
  • Maintain up-to-date training on equipment and site procedures
  • Perform daily tasks to keep working areas stocked with proper materials and supplies
  • Conduct physical characterization testing on raw and in-process materials
  • Support sampling and packaging of in-process and finished product material
  • Maintain active inventory of excipients and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) used for experimental processing
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and 0+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers, peers, and managers
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills & Background
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills
  • Experience maintaining high-quality laboratory documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance and site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Previous experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) highly preferred
