Job summary

Viatris is a global healthcare company seeking a Supervisor, Pharmaceutical Coating to lead production line activities and ensure cGMP compliance. You will guide operators, monitor output, and coordinate cross-functional actions with QA, maintenance, and engineering.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 2–4 years of relevant production experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2–4 years of relevant production experience preferred.
• Good communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, writing and basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Plateau, TrackWise and knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assignments are completed on schedule following established policies and procedures; guide staff in production areas to follow the Production schedule.
• Monitor production output and quality; initiate corrective actions with Production management, QA, Maintenance, Engineering, etc.
• Ensure proper equipment operation and compliance with safety rules; prepare rooms/equipment for inspection; perform room releases as needed; keep logs current and accurate.
• Coordinate and oversee work of operators in other areas; act as back-up to other supervisors or Manager when needed.
• Develop and perform training of personnel in Production operations, systems and cGMP compliance.
• Record/Review Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, Time Sheets and other paperwork; perform reconciliations for Controlled Substance lots; final Production review prior to QA.
• Initiate events/investigations with QA; identify root causes and corrective actions to minimize impact on quality; complete within deadlines.
• Initiate procedural revisions and training modules to align practice with procedures.
• Ensure products in inventory are properly labeled and monitor inventories.
• Participate in process development, scale-up, and process validation batches; coordinate training to transfer to commercial operations.
• Provide input for new equipment or upgrades and participate in equipment qualification.
