Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. invites undergraduates and graduate students to join the Future Talent Program as summer interns in our Research Lab Division.

Interns will work on projects in formulation development and manufacturing of oral, sterile, and specialty pharmaceutical products. Based in the Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences Department in West Point and Boston, interns will collaborate in a multi-functional team, present research results orally and in writing, and gain exposure to drug delivery,

Qualifications

Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior student pursuing a bachelor’s degree OR a currently enrolled graduate student pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.
Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks from June - August 2027.
Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of studies toward bachelor’s degree by June 2024.

Responsibilities

Interns will work collaboratively in a team environment to help solve key challenges in formulation development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Interns will present their research results in oral and written formats.
Interns will work closely with an experienced pharmaceutical industry scientist on a research project.
