Job summary

Cambrex is seeking a Reactor Operator to produce chemical and pharmaceutical products in our manufacturing environment. You will report to the shift supervisor and ensure quality and safety during operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, performing process controls, cleaning, training others, handling hazardous waste, logging data, troubleshooting, and complying with EPA/FDA/cGMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights and potentially weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and adjust valves, vacuums, pumps and pressures per procedures.
• Maintain process control and use manual and computer‑controlled devices.
• Clean equipment following procedures.
• Train new Pharma Reactor Operators.
• Handle drums and hazardous waste; label and transport.
• Prevent spills and control discharges.
• Interpret results and monitor processes with computer‑controlled devices.
• Safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment cleanup.
• Complete operation logs in Pharma area.
• Troubleshoot production line and equipment.
• Assist lab with new processes or changes.
• Complete line entry, confined space, and hot work permits.
• Update process procedures and SOPs.
• Adhere to EPA, FDA and cGMP regulations.
• Take samples for in‑process and QC analysis.
• Perform lab tests and act on results.
• Assume duties of Reactor Operator Chem I/II.
