Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a Production Inspector to visually inspect filled products off the filling line in the Capping Department, following SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

You will set up and operate inspection machines and cappers, document results, and perform necessary start-up tests to ensure product quality. This role requires 1–3 years of pharmaceutical experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to perform required calculations (multiplication/division).
• Visual ability to detect defective vials.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must maintain acceptable visual acuity.
• Must be able to maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects products for defects.
• Documents work accurately and timely.
• Complies with SOPs and cGMPs.
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates inspection machines and cappers.
• Performs start-up procedures for filling operation (e.g., filter integrity test, line clearance).
• Performs and documents quality checks on product.
• Calculates percent defective and reconciles components on batch record.
• Loads/unloads vials from turntables; moves pallets of product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
