Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Quality Control Analyst for an established pharmaceutical laboratory in Welkom. You will perform analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and safety.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field and at least 2 years in QC labs, with proficiency in HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Karl Fischer titrators, plus GMP/GLP knowledge. Independent and team work are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Karl Fischer titrators.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and relevant quality control principles.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy).
• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analytical testing.
• Document all testing procedures and results accurately in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and GMP guidelines.
• Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and validation activities.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in deviation investigations.
• Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methods.
