Job summary

Lonza Tampa is hiring a Packaging Operator to join our brand-new capsule packaging lines on-site in Tampa, FL. The role performs manual Primary and Secondary Packaging activities, operates automated equipment, and ensures strict batch record adherence and material movement with full chain of custody.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical GMP environment.
• Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing Primary and Secondary Packaging rooms.
• Ability to maintain professional interactions with sponsors and partners while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to proactively stop work to ensure safety.
• Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality, compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual Primary and Secondary Packaging activities in alignment with batch record instructions.
• Operate and set up automated equipment to support packaging workflows.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation and movement of materials between packaging areas and the warehouse while maintaining strict chain of custody.
• Identify and report issues to QA, Team Leads, Equipment Specialists, CPS Project Coordinators, or Managers to prevent deviations.
• Support qualification and implementation of new equipment alongside the Equipment Specialist.
• Maintain up-to-date training and complete required logbooks, SOP, and GMP documentation.
• Participate in production schedule meetings, project discussions, and safety processes to uphold world-class safety and quality standards.
