Job summary

Lonza Tampa is hiring a Manufacturing Operator to support brand-new processes in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment onsite in Tampa, Florida. You will perform activities such as raw material dispensing, sampling, media and buffer preparation, and equipment operation to ensure steady production and compliance.

You will mentor less experienced workers, seek improvements, and uphold Safety and Sustainability rules. A high school diploma or GED is required, and GMP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing is expected.
• Ability to maintain professional, confidential interactions with sponsors and partners while following regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to proactively stop work to ensure safety.
• Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material dispensing, sampling, media and buffer preparation, filter installation and sample preparation and submission independently.
• Coordinate activities including receiving and sorting return product and rework.
• Disposal of product per local regulations.
• Packing, materials handling, operate and maintain equipment in the areas of work.
• Trouble shoot in respective areas of work.
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
• Mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems.
• Adhere to all Safety and Sustainability requirements and report issues to management.
• Stop work when necessary to maintain safety.
