Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Packaging Operator in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting in New York. The role involves operating packaging, washing, and coating equipment, performing in-process checks, and ensuring GMP compliance and product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Speak, read, and write English to understand operating procedures and complete documentation.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate and monitor packaging, washing, coating, and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to follow GMP, regulatory standards, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Ability to work assigned shifts: 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 3 p.m.–11:30 p.m., or 11 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Operate washers, washing lifts, container washers, ovens, oven lifts, coaters, and auxiliary machines.
• Perform in-process checks according to SOPs to produce rubber stoppers.
• Package products according to GMP, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards.
• Work under the guidance of a Supervisor or Crew Leader to complete duties.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in good, safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Follow instructions; attend training and meetings.
• Identify and report potential safety risks to the line manager.
• Participate in department or quality team meetings and implement improvements.
• Train new operators and trainees as requested.
• Perform other assigned duties
