Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Pharmaceuticals Materials Specialist to execute material logistics in a cGMP environment. You will receive, sample, store, and distribute materials and prepare direct materials for manufacturing use.

The role involves handling hazardous materials, performing data entry in SAP/LIMS, and maintaining a safe, inspection-ready workplace while supporting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School, Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in GMP, GDP warehouse operations.
• Expertise in SOPs and SAP ERP systems.
• EHS and GMP awareness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform material logistics activities in a cGMP environment, including receiving, sampling, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials.
• Transfer, weigh, stage, and kit materials for manufacturing operations according to procedures.
• Support handling and shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
• Accurately complete transactions and maintain records in SAP and LIMS.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, drum handling) with safety.
• Adhere to cGMP, GDP, EHS, and site procedures for regulatory compliance and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspection-ready work environment.
• Assist with inventory counts, material reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support schedules and material availability.
• Identify and communicate operational or material issues to supervision timely.
