Job summary

Smart Media in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist in Pharmaceutical Production Operations & Improvement to identify, develop, and implement process enhancements across formulation through packaging.

You will partner with manufacturing, quality, and other functions to drive cGMP compliance, right-first-time execution, and measurable efficiency gains through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Certified in Six Sigma or similar root-cause analysis program.
• Knowledge of FDA/cGMP regulations as they pertain to drug manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects and facilitate team activity.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to solve complex problems.
• Develop metrics for process measurement and CAPA tracking.
• Create, review, and revise Master Batch Records and SOPs.
• Collaborate with area leaders on CAPA development and action plans.
• Provide GMP training and perform in-process audits.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and company safety rules.
