Job summary

AbbVie OneHUB’s People Excellence team seeks a creative Instructional Designer to craft engaging learning experiences across media. You will develop eLearning, videos, simulations, and job aids, collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure knowledge transfer and performance improvement.

Require 2–3 years in adult learning or instructional design, with strong design skills and proficiency with modern authoring tools. Onsite collaboration at Abbott Park is expected three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in adult learning, instructional design, or training development; pharma or regulated industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
• Proficiency with contemporary content development tools for learning assets.
• Ability to develop high-quality digital learning assets and collaborate with SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning content including eLearning modules, videos, graphics, simulations, and job aids.
• Translate complex information into learner-friendly experiences to support knowledge transfer.
• Support project execution by managing tasks, milestones, and status.
• Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to gather input and define learning needs.
• Apply design thinking to create engaging learning solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of learning quality and efficiency.
• Use modern authoring and design tools to create up-to-date assets.
• Monitor learning effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate progress and risks with managers and partners.
• Demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
