Job summary

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. in Berkeley Heights is seeking a skilled Counsel, IP and Litigation to support strategic IP and litigation initiatives for our North American injectables and non-injectables portfolio.

You will work with R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams to shape patent and trademark protection, manage outside counsel, and guide settlements while aligning with Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA frameworks. This role requires extensive pharma IP experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• License to practice in the U.S.; USPTO registration preferred.
• 7+ years' experience in IP litigation for pharma or life sciences.
• Experience with Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA regulations.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop US patent strategies for injectable and non-injectable products.
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate discovery and litigation strategy.
• Advise on regulatory strategies for 505(b)(2) and ANDA products.
• Support business development due diligence and licensing negotiations.
• Coordinate with R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams on IP portfolio development.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
