Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an Industrial Hygienist for on‑site roles with pharmaceutical manufacturing clients in the greater Raleigh area. You will lead IH programs, conduct air, noise, and chemical monitoring, and advise on controls to reduce exposure. Strong communication with clients and a customer‑focused approach are essential.

4–5 years of hands‑on IH experience in pharma is required, along with a BS in a related field. Valid driver's license and ability to work on site are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands‑on industrial hygiene experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or life sciences settings.
• Experience making recommendations on appropriate controls to reduce exposure in pharma manufacturing.
• Autonomous development and execution of industrial hygiene sampling plans with direct process observation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee, and implement IH program.
• Employee monitoring and evaluating exposure/risk.
• Recommend engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE.
• Measure hazards (noise, ergonomics) with calibrated equipment.
• Assess effectiveness of engineering controls (fume hoods, local exhaust).
• Conduct safety inspections and PPE usage reviews.
• Identify hazards and implement ventilation/control measures.
• Investigate accidents and recommend remedial actions.
• Communicate safety issues to client personnel and document actions.
• Assist in developing health and safety systems, policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Facilitate Job Hazard Analyses and IH assessments.
